"Quality Construction and Preservation that Spans Generations"
Our mission is to preserve the historic architectural legacy left to us by past generations, and the building traditions that produced it, for future generations. This legacy stands today only because of the integrity and foresight which the original artisans built into it. We see no reason to abandon standards which have produced buildings of such long lasting beauty and efficient purpose. Fitzgerald's Heavy Timber Construction, Inc. is proud to participate in a living tradition which eagerly learns from the past while planning for a prosperous, liveable future. We serve clients in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia & West Virginia.
For both new construction projects and for restoration, expertise in traditional building technologies enables us to control costs, deliver projects on time and to emulate the standards of the master builders of the past. To be completely accountable for the success of our own work, we furnish comprehensive design, general contracting and project management services. Our experienced staff is trained and equipped to assist clients from the planning stage onward. Adapting historic building technologies to modern requirements can create unanticipated issues for the uninitiated. We suggest that clients put us on the project team early.
Fitzgerald's Heavy Timber Construction, Inc. uses both modern equipment and irreplaceable vintage machinery to fulfill our mission. Whether space age or museum piece, this equipment is in every case state of the art for the task required. We operate our own sawmill and maintain our own roofing sheet metal shop. By managing the entire process ourselves, we can introduce many efficiencies into the production of traditional work. We invite you to get to know us better by scrolling down this page to view some of the indispensable tools and machinery which we use every day and which help to define our work.
