Fitzgerald's Heavy Timber Construction, Inc. is a general contractor experienced in both new timber frame construction and in historic restoration. We have our own antique Frick brand saw mill that allows us to custom mill the materials we need in our various projects. This proves to be very helpful in the restoration business, since the actual cross dimensions and lengths are often not known until the construction process reveals the extent of the damage. The saw mill allows us to better control the source of material, scheduling and work flow. This early 20th century sawmill can cut timbers much longer than those available from modern mills, in any historic eastern native species needed. Here are some views of our milling operation:
